Color Theory - Part 2

So, after a week studying about colors. We move on to our Final Project where we were told to choose on a theme. Below are some of the themes that we brainstormed among  our classmates:

  • Body Parts
  • Pokemon
  • Desserts
  • Carnival
  • Technologies
  • Halloween
Finally, we ended up choosing CARNIVAL!!! as our theme. The minute we confirmed on that, my head was literally thinking of this.

The task was simple. Our project is focused on color theories. So, think of something that is in a carnival and use one/more of the color theories such as Primary colors, Monochrome, or Saturated colors as long as it relates to "Color".

This is what we came up with :-

You guess right! BALLOON DARTS!!!!

Since the whole point of a carnival is to have fun, we thought that balloon darts can bring joy to people too.

Balloon Darts Test!

We decided to use Primary Colors, Pastel Colors, and Monochromatic Colors for the project.

Things that we use :-
  • Canvas (6 ft by 5ft)
  • Plywood (to support the canvas)
  • Balloons
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Darts
  • Thumbtacks

BEHOLD! Our Balloon Darts Color Theory Project!!!

Dini was so excited, she didnt want to let go of the darts.

Bottom line is, we had fun preparing it, and so did the rest of the class. I'll put the rest of the group pictures and their projects below.

Color Representation

Green!
The color of nature. It represents growth and life. Besides being the most restful color to the eye, it can also improve our vision.

Red!
In Sanskrit , Rudhira means red. Most of the time we resemble our passion to this color. For example Valentine's day  is often used to express love, BUT! it actually resembles lust than love. Pink resembles love.  Therefore, Red - Passion- Love/Lust.

Purple!
It represents Royalty , express power and extravagance. Back then, producing purple is so complicated in result, purple fabric was made really expensive that only the rulers can afford.
